Membership

Join the development trust

As a community organisation and charity our membership is a very important measure of the community support that we have for the work we do. It may seem like just a number but it often forms part of our funding applications and to be able to show that we have strong support and a growing list of members helps benefit the whole community.

Application for Membership of the Sanday Development Trust

Membership of the Sanday Development Trust is open to people over 16 years age whose main residence is in Sanday. Membership is free of charge but you may be asked to contribute £1 if the Trust is wound up. Membership enables the Trust to demonstrate that it has public support for its activities and entitles you to receive regular updates, to vote on proposals at the AGM and to stand as a director of the Board of Trustees.

What information do we need from you and how do we use it?

We keep a record of your name and address so that we can process your membership application and contact you to invite you to the AGM. Your information will be kept securely and will not be shared with any third parties unless you specifically give your consent, or we are required to do so by law.

We optionally ask for your telephone number and email address so that we can contact you easily. We want to be able to contact you, particularly by email, for example, to advise you of forthcoming meetings that you might wish to attend and to keep you informed of Trust matters that we think may be of interest to you.
