Scotland’s Year of Stories 2022 – Rivlin making workshop with Fiona Sanderson To celebrate Scotland’s Year of Stories 2022, Sanday Development Trust, through the Sanday Heritage Group, have planned some events for the 24th, 25th and 26th June, focussing on Walter Traill Dennison (1825 – 1894). A native of Sanday, Walter Traill Dennison collected local folk stories and published them, many in the local dialect, in the Orcadian Sketchbook. He was also the author of a number of studies of traditional life. This event has been supported by the Year of Stories 2022 Community Stories Fund. This fund is being delivered in partnership between VisitScotland and Museums Galleries Scotland with support from National Lottery Heritage Fund thanks to National Lottery players
