Trustee and Director
The Board of Trustees decide the long-term strategic objectives of the Trust based on input from the community. Trustees are unpaid volunteers and are supported by full time managers who are employed to manage the day-to-day operations of the Trust. A Trustee is also a company Director and ultimately have full accountability and responsibility for how the Trust operates.
Nomination
To become a Trustee you must be a member of the Sanday Development Trust and be nominated by two other members at an AGM. As a Trustee you must sign up to our code of conduct, to understand and support the work of a Development Trust, be a positive representative of the Trust and community and be prepared to serve at least one term in the position of Treasurer, Vice Chair or Chair.
